Fox has launched its new local streaming service in Atlanta, aiming to bring hyper-local news to viewers. The service, which is anchored by Fox 5 journalist Ariyl Onstott, promises to focus on community-driven stories and deliver the latest local news with precision and depth.
Onstott, who is a graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Journalism and New Media, said the free streaming news channel will allow her to share more of what matters to the Atlanta audience. “We’re not here to compete with the noise,” she stated. “We’re here to offer something different—something that respects the intelligence of our viewers and gives them the tools they need to navigate the complexities of the world around them.”

This philosophy has guided Onstott throughout her career, and she believes it is especially relevant in today’s fast-paced media environment. “In a world where news is constantly breaking, it can be easy to lose sight of the bigger picture,” she explained. “I want to ensure that we’re not just chasing headlines, but also providing our viewers with the analysis and depth they need to make informed decisions.”
As the first-ever anchor of the Fox Local streaming service in Atlanta, Onstott will be at the forefront of this innovative approach to news delivery.
