Gray Television NBC affiliate WMBF Myrtle Beach, S.C., has launched a new show from its First Alert Weather Team.
Weather or Not is hosted by Chief Meteorologist Jamie Arnold and meteorologist Andrew Dockery. Need a quick recap of the forecast? Planning the weekend? Going out of town? Curious about how the weather works? It’s all covered each day in Weather or Not.
The show is produced by meteorologist Jenna Greenhill with executive producer Anya Carney. It not only features the daily forecast and the top weather stories from around the country but also offers “fun segments to give you the First Alert in an all-new way.”
Matt Stanley, director of local content, said: “We have a strong First Alert weather brand and research shows weather is the No. 1 driver for local news and we are giving our viewers what they want — more weather in a more available on-demand way.”
Daily segments include “Coast to Coast,” a deep dive into what’s happening across the United States; “See It. Snap It. Send It.” highlights viewer weather photos and videos; and “Check This Out” breaks down some of the wildest weather around the world. Then there’s also “Friday Happy Hour,” “Cooking up a Storm” and more featuring the First Alert Weather Team.
The show is available on all WMBF News streaming platforms, including on the WMBF News YouTube channel and its Roku, Amazon Fire TV and Apple TV apps.
