For the past 18 years, TVNewsCheck has been the broadcasting industry’s essential source for continuously updated news, analysis and opinion, but as of today’s AM newsletter, we must put that service on hold.
It’s no secret that the media industry is facing the most challenging environment it has ever known, finding itself in need of adapting to fragmentation and the demands of a multiplatform media universe. Each day, we have endeavored to share with you the story of that transition, the incremental successes and the casualties among the organizations that comprise this industry.
We are not immune to those challenges and have continuously adapted ourselves. Our cutting-edge conferences and webinars are second to none in the industry, enabling vital conversations and information sharing necessary for maintaining thriving businesses. Talking TV, our weekly video podcast has allowed TV’s leaders to share in-depth discussions of what they’re doing to move this business forward. And our original reporting has provided a depth, context and analysis that has all but disappeared from the landscape.
We want nothing more than to continue our efforts to keep the industry informed and in touch and we are exploring strategic options for doing so, including expanding our premium content strategy.
