The coming months are expected to see a flurry of merger and acquisition activity after a long quiet period. A leading M&A broker and a media valuation expert will look at deals most likely to lead the pack and how a dramatically different regulatory environment will affect the shape of the industry in a panel, M&A: Valuations, Benefits and Challenges of Impending Consolidation, at TVNewsCheck’s Local TV Strategies conference at the NAB Show New York on Oct. 22 at the Javits Center.
Speakers are John Sanders, principal, Bond & Pecaro; and Todd Hartman, EVP, Kalil & Co., with TVNewsCheck Contributing Editor Janet Stilson moderating the discussion.
“With the regulatory dam likely to bust open at the FCC, questions shift to when a critical mass of deals may happen, to say nothing of the exploratory swaps that have already begun,” said Michael Depp, chief content officer, NewsCheckMedia and editor of TVNewsCheck. “John and Todd will consider the uncertainties remaining around deal activity; how valuations are being arrived at; the shared services agreements starting to happen and the outlook of private equity and banks for lending, among other dynamics.”
