NextGen TV has enormous transformative revenue potential for broadcast, but it still has many hurdles to clear to get there. A panel at TVNewsCheck’s Local TV Strategies will explore which impediments remain and how broadcasters can chart a course through them to start seeing ROI as soon as 2025.
The session, Mining NextGen TV for Revenue ROI in 2025 will kick off at 2:15 p.m. at Local TV Strategies, presented as part of the NAB Show New York at the Javits Center on Oct. 9.
Speakers are Dave Burke, SVP and CTO, Gray Television; Ryan Moore, SVP and chief revenue officer, Sinclair; and Kerry Oslund, VP strategy & business development, E.W. Scripps. TVNewsCheck Contributing Editor Glen Dickson will moderate.
“NextGen TV has had its wins over the past couple of years, but it still needs to fill out the national spectrum picture and get on consumers’ radar before it can realize its revenue potential,” said Michael Depp, chief content officer, NewsCheckMedia and editor of TVNewsCheck. “Dave, Ryan and Kerry will take us up to the minute with the technology’s remaining hurdles along with how broadcasters can begin to monetize it. When does the ROI start cranking with prospects such as datacasting, advertising, addressable advertising and improved measurement? This session will tackle them all.”
